The United States is an excellent place to work. Many people want to enjoy the benefits and pay that the United States employers can offer, even people from other countries. It is not quite as simple as applying for the job, though. Before a person can even apply for a job, they must apply for a permit to legally work in the United States.

There are fees associated with applying for a work permit, or sometimes called work visa. A person can apply for a work permit if they are a student legally in the United States, fiance of a United States resident, an asylee and a few other special situations.
